[CI] scoring system

Hi all;

Since the issue of League rankings has been opened for discussion, I would like to mention a couple of other suggestions just to see if they generate any traction with any other members. If not, then I'll just chock it up to my OCD.

1. It would be nice if the results of the games could somehow incorporate the imbalance in the questions from side to side. Even though the question makers attempt to provide balance, experience has shown that sometimes their efforts are unsuccessful. I would propose that if the winning team's score does not exceed their opponent's score by more than their "side advantage" (or the corollary that the losing team's deficit is less than their side's "disadvantage") then the game be declared a tie.

2. My second suggestion has to do with the "impossible question". If there is a game in which all teams score zero to a specific question, then that question is deemed impossible and all the team zeros are changed to one for that question.

I realize that both of these changes may change the outcome of individual games from when the players finish the night, but the same can be said for protests. In a sense, both of these suggestions are "automatic protests"

Just some food for thought and discussion.

-in my view, it just doesn’t make sense for the playoff spots to be decided by total points instead

of wins and losses. The NHL doesn’t go by total goals to determine who is in the playoffs.

Can this be changed for the next season?

I've used it as well on my Mac. Very simple.
