[CI] question about hi-tech

Hi, Tim!
I stand corrected on using Audacity on a Mac. But remember, when it comes
time to load audio clips onto MP3 players the league has, those clips will
have to be MP3 or WAV files, or whatever other format the players can
handle. That information will be with the package instructions for the
players, which I passed on to the Suspects and which I assume they will be
passing on to you.
Cheers, Ed

Hi, Tim!
In doing our audio rounds, we ripped tracks from our own personal CDs onto
our personal laptops or PCs and edited snippets using a free program called
Audacity, downloadable from the Internet. Very easy to use. However,
Audacity will not work with Macs.
Note that the MP3 players the league has won't play Mac-formatted clips.
Clips will have to be MP3 or WAV files. Those were what worked and what
played when we were setting the questions.
Good luck with your question-setting.

Subject: [CI] question about hi-tech

Hi:

we, the Mods, are setting Qs for the upcoming season.

Can any of you who have set questions recently and are more familiar
with this interweb highway thing advise on how to get downloadable music
files for the audio round? Did you all just copy from your personal
collection of CDs and downloaded tunes? Is there a reliable way of
getting snippets without paying the 99 cents?

Advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim
